Claudio Giambruno has established himself as a prominent figure in the new generation of Italian jazz musicians. His virtuosity, combined with spontaneity and a rich poetic sensibility, has earned him a well-deserved place on both the national and international jazz scenes. Claudio has had the privilege of sharing the stage with jazz icons such as Ron Carter, Billy Cobham, David Kikoski, Fabrizio Bosso, Max Ionata, Enrico Pieranunzi, Nicole Henry, Halie Lauren, Marteen Weyler, Vito Giordano, and many more.
For this special evening, Claudio Giambruno will be accompanied by an Italian/Danish quartet that has cultivated a unique and cohesive sound through over a decade of musical camaraderie, numerous concerts, and three acclaimed album releases. Their approach to jazz tradition is a modern one, drawing inspiration from Hard Bop and spiritual jazz. With each member bringing their distinct musical background to the table, they have crafted a truly personal and captivating sound.
Their first two albums, "DEDICATION" and "GET OUT OF TOWN," showcased the acoustic quartet's sound and their impeccable musical interplay. These releases were lauded for their original compositions and musicianship.
On their third and latest album, "KEPLER 452-b," the quartet has expanded their sonic palette by incorporating electronics, adding more textures to their musical universe. While they remain an acoustic quartet at their core, their latest album and upcoming live shows feature synthesizers, effects, and samples, enhancing the sonic experience with cinematic soundscapes and new musical colors.
Join us for a night of jazz that combines tradition with innovation, where Claudio Giambruno and his quartet will take you on a musical journey filled with virtuosity, spontaneity, and a touch of poetic magic. Don't miss this unique opportunity to experience the fusion of talent and creativity on display at the Italian Cultural Institute. We look forward to seeing you there!
