Workshop: ‘The body, this stranger’

Theatre workshop The body, this stranger (2)

‘The body, this stranger’

Workshop with actor Mario Pirovano

Friday, March 13th, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

In this workshop actor Mario Pirovano presents the numerous possibilities of being able to create theatre using only the “costume” of one’s own body. Of course, the body is not something abstract but a “machine”, an essential tool, if you want to perform theatre, or if you prefer to “play theatre”.

It is absolutely possible to act without words, only through gestures.

And then there’s the “power of the voice”, being able to emit sounds that convey feelings and reactions, even with words that seem incomprehensible, but which, when combined with gestures, facial expressions and the gaze, the eyes, become a language within a language.

Because the language of theatre is universal.

In this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to try their hand at acting alongside the actor in some memorable scenes from plays of the Italian actor, director and Nobel Prize winner Dario Fo.

The workshop is taught in English.

Partecipation is free but requires enrolment HERE
